Top 3 Card Games to Play with your Friends
When having a get together with friends, it’s hard to keep everyone entertained all at once. This is where card games can come in handy. As long as you have a full deck, you can have hours of fun with plenty of games to play. It’s even more fun if you have alcohol involved! Here are the top three games we found to play at your next party:
- Bullshit-This game is very easy and fun to learn. Get about 4 + people and sit in a circle. The dealer will hand out the entire deck. Going clockwise, each person puts a card in the middle, face down and it has to be in number order. If you think someone is lying about his or her card, you call “bullshit!” If you’re wrong, you have to take the entire deck. The point of the game is to get rid of all your cards, so be careful about calling someone out!
- High or Low: This game is easy to learn and it can get you drunk very quickly! The first player is dealt a card face up, and is asked to guess whether the next card will be higher or lower. They have to get three correct in a row in order to move on to the next person. If they are wrong, they have to drink. When a player guesses incorrectly, they must drink for each card showing, so a wrong guess at the first card will require one second of drinking. If you get it wrong on the 5th card will require 5 seconds of drinking. Each player will count one by one however slowly or quickly they want while the other person drinks.
- Kings is one of the most well known drinking games. Although there are different variations of the rules, it’s generally very easy to learn. The dealer spreads a deck of cards in a circle on a flat surface. Going clockwise, each player draws a card from the circle. There is a rule for each card.
Ace: Waterfall-Beginning with the person who draws the card, everyone at the table must start to drink. Players cannot stop drinking until the person to their left stops, beginning with the person who drew the Ace. 2-You: You can pick someone at the table to take a drink. 3-Me: The person who draws the card has to take a drink 4-Floor: Everyone has to touch the floor and the last person to do so has to drink. 5-Guys: The guys at the table take a drink 6-Chicks: The girls at the table take a drink. 7-Heaven: Everyone has to put his or her hands in the air and the last person to do so has to drink. 8-Mate: The person who draws a card has to pick a person to drink with them every time they are supposed to take a drink. 9-Rhyme: The person who draws the card has to say a word and each person after him or her has to rhyme with the word chosen. 10-Categories: The person who draws the card has to pick a category and each person after has to name something in the category chosen. (Ex: if the category is beer, everyone has to name a different type of beer). If you can’t think of anything when it’s your turn, you have to drink. Jack-Never Have I Ever: Everyone at the table has to put up three fingers. Then every person takes a turn saying “never have I ever…..” and finishes the sentence. If a person at the table has done someone else’s “never have I ever,” they have to put a finger down. The person who has all three fingers down first loses and takes a drink. Queen-Questions: For Queen, everyone at the table has to keep asking questions to each other. Whoever actually answers the question or can’t think of one to ask first loses and has to take a drink. King-Make a rule: Whoever draws a king gets to make any rule they want. When another King is drawn from the pile, you can either change the rule or make it harder and just add a second rule to the game. Whoever breaks the rule(s) has to take a drink! Not only are these card games fun and easy to play, they’re great for a pregame! After playing some cards, you and your friends can head over to Village Pourhouse for a couple of drinks to end the night!
